Been a while eh?

OK I know, it has been a long, long, long time since I have blogged. There is a reason why. I am not antisocial, and I am not sick, or anything like that... I have been extremely busy working on my house and at the job as of late. I have been very tired and have not really had the time to sit down and really think about what it is I needed to blog about. So here we go...

Lets start by saying "I'm fine." Life has had its ups and downs of course, but for the most part, things are going pretty darn well for me. I feel rather accomplished in all that has been getting done around the house and in my life. I have been slowly remodeling the house and redecorating as well. I have been really working hard in my garden. I would take some pictures of what I have been doing but just as I walked out to do so....my nice Digital Camera - died. So you will just have to wait.

So I got the garden in, and its growing well. The yard is lush and green, alive with activity. I have finished remodeling the living room, dining room, upper hallway, and sun room of the house this far. I have mostly installed an 8kw generator that has an auto switch and runs on natural gas. I am waiting for the electrician to come this week to hook it up. I could do it, but it would not be "code" and I am not willing to do that.

Tomorrow I am going to the car dealership and the bank. I have decided that, as much as I love my big, lifted, super-powerful Jeep. Getting 7mpg is not worth it any more. I am going to park it for now, maybe sell it later. I am looking at a Hyundai or a Toyota hatchback and have not decided which model I am interested in. I have excellent credit, and getting the car is going to be a breeze, its the decision about which one I want that is the trouble. I have asked everyone that I know, which one should I get?

Fifty percent say go with the Hyundai - and since I have owned one in the past and was happy with it, I am inclined to agree. It took a beating and just kept going. I loved it, until it broke. When that happened, it was never right again. That may have been the dealer that I took it to, but I am not certain.

The other fifty percent say go get the Toyota. It is a better car, better quality, they don't break like the Hyundai. Even my mechanic - the only guy I trust with my Jeep - says get the Toyota not the Hyundai. I am so confused. I am going to go drive them both and see what I like, get all the literature, and go from there.

Well that is the short update. I am going to now price out cameras to replace this one that just broke. Updates later...
