It has been a hell of ride these past days. I have been working so hard due to the weirdness of the schedule, the severity of the work, and the amount of breakdowns I have had.Two weeks ago I pulled a very long run, then got home early since I worked so damn hard to get there. I pulled in to the yard, was going to park the truck and it dies right there in front of me. I was not happy. It took four hours to get it to the shop and an entire weekend to fix. It was well below zero outside and I was just frozen solid. I got lucky in the fact that I have such a great manager here at the local terminal. She came right out to help, and even brought me coffee.
We had a nice weekend, followed by another long week at work. I was pretty damn tired with three long runs in a row. On the way home Friday they give me the news that I have a shorter week next week, but I have to leave out on Monday. That means that I get home 8am Saturday morning, and leave just about the same time Monday. I have to sleep most of Saturday away since I drove all night to get home... its a one day weekend.
So I managed to rest as much as I can this weekend, and I am on my way out the door here very shortly and start another week on the road. Hopefully I will be home Thursday night, and have a nice relaxing weekend.

I know how you feel, I have been running on 2 full week work weeks for a very long time! It's starting to get old quickly.
