If I take my break tonight, I can make the trip home tomorrow in 10 hours. I should be arriving just after supper which will be nice. At least I will be good and tired so I can get a hot shower, a hot meal, and get to bed and start to kick this nasty cold I have. I wasn't feeling this bad when I got up this morning, but going from highs of 10 and 20 degrees to highs of 60 to 70 degrees doesn't help my sinuses.
In other news, my newest cat (a rescue case from the county) is feeling much better after some surgery and medication. She is so tiny. Willow is her name and she is the most adorable thing you have ever seen. She is 8 months old, she *was* pregnant, but we had that taken care of. It is unfortunate but the vet said that it would have killed her and the kittens to go any further with it. She is less than 4 pounds, and the smallest thing I have ever seen.
She was found tossed in a snowbank, nearly dead. She has strange coloration and no one could sell her or adopt her out, so they threw her away like trash. We were contacted by the county animal rescue and were asked if we had room. Of course we did. We lost our beloved husky and one of our cats within one year, and they knew that. We had room and took her in. She is so grateful to be in the house, and is so kind and gentle. One of our other cats is not too fond of her, but we are working on that. They will get along after she gets settled in. Willow has had a tough life already, and this will be good for everyone.
After I get home, I will post some about my music equipment and the like. I have been meaning to post about my Great Great Grandfathers guitar for a while now, but I want really good pictures first. The ones I have are OK, but they aren't the best. Maybe I will even get my brother up to the house to do some recording and what not.
Time to rest. Later...
